I'd assume Casspi will return with him being around the franchise and his options dwindling. I also assume they bring back Lance to be the starting 2 since he has familiarity with the system and, by all accounts, was liked in the locker room here. I imagine both those deals make sense for the front office being as they aren't going to tank especially since they have a realistic, albeit improbable, shot at the playoffs.

Again, I ask one of the cap gurus of the board...if both are signed and we do, in fact, make the playoffs are they eligible to play?

ETA: Never mind found it. The answer is yes.

It's obviously not going to make or break the Pelicans. However, seeing a better team, and organization, give one of of your players a chance, despite to clear lack of depth/talent/bodies at the SG position, does look a little curious.

I would have liked to see what he could have done for the rest of the season on a Crawford-like deal. And I just don't want to see another situation where another teams signs Ennis after a good showing here, and we overpay anothet Solomon Hill.

If this opens a spot of Casspi to re-sign, then so be it.

Selden spent whole preseason with Grizzlies.
You cannot say that Pels developed him.
Gave him a chance -yes.

He played decent two games.
Not twenty like Ennis.

Up to the next one...

Man you're right about this and you're right about a lot of the things you say but you're such a douche about it that people don't even care about your analysis, they just hate you anyway.

You could say "Michael Jordan is the GOAT" and people would call you an ignorant fgt at this point.

for the most part, we can all agree on that...

we just like talking about the pelicans, so sue us.

But when a fan has incentive to want to hate on everything the FO does, they make a big deal out of something like this that truly doesn't matter.

see comment above, see history before. i would question EVERY decision this FO makes.

Casspi will likely be back, and even if he isn't, Crawford slides into the starting 2, or Moore goes back. Or Lance comes back.

Memphis actually signed Selden to a multi-year deal. He wasn't in our future plans so don't blame the kid for going elsewhere.

Where is this coming from?

That sounds like an awful idea with this roster

I feel like people are making that assumption based upon him finishing his deal with the T'wolves.

Thanks.

Saw multiple posts bringing it up and didn't know if there was a report or rumor about it.

It was just my two cents. He knows the way Alvin wants to play. Is a decent defender who can shoot. Makes sense in my mind.

Yeah I wouldn't mind seeing Lance back on the roster. Having a guy who can create his own offense and is aggressive could be good for this team.

For his price, i agree that's he a decent gamble in a vacuum and a was a reasonable fit pre Cousins

who can shoot

That's the the part I question, especially around Davis/Cousins. he's 30% from 3 for his career...plus not sure his ball dominant brand of creating fits the new world order either
