Teams are indeed calling New Orleans in pursuit of stretch four Ryan Anderson, but the notion they are shopping him, I'm told, is inaccurate

Word is Pels, while indeed actively exploring trade options and engaging with other teams, have merely listened on RAnderson pitches so far

anderson, with all his flaws, is the only truly likeable player on the team, and the only player i consistently enjoy seeing play, davis included
it would be a shame if the wind up moving him because the rest of the roster doesnt fit

We'd move him because he's an expiring and we would have no intention of re-signing him because a) he's going to fetch a huge deal and b) he's more of a luxury than an important two way player that we need.

Games like last night are driving up the price...great for the Pels.

he would be worth his contract on a team that is staffed in such a way as to not leave him on a pick and roll island on defense. The question is are there moves to be made that can accomplish that?

I just wonder if they'll have to reshoot that anti-smoking PSA.

Lowe on Ryno (starts around 49 minutes):
LINK
Likes him but thinks his next contract is going to be a disaster for a team. Thinks your team will struggle defensively if he's playing ~30 mpg.
Earlier in the podcast, he said that the Pels should just stay put, not trade anyone, build chemistry, and get a late lotto pick. That and staying away from Ryno's next contract don't really mesh at all.

I agree wholeheartedly.
Ryno's best season was his 3rd year in the league when he played only 22 minutes putting up 11/6/1.
3pta 5.3 (3rd lowest of his career)
3pt% 39.3 (T-2nd highest)
TOV 0.8 (career best)
TOV per 36 1.2 (3rd best)
ORTG 122 (2nd highest)
DRTG 102 (career best)
TRB% 14.5 (2nd highest)
USG% 20.4 (2nd lowest)
WS 6.4 (3rd highest)

I hear what he's saying, but I think we are better off moving Ryno or Gordon's contracts if there are any picks/young players involved.

Give it another 15-20 games imo. If we don't make a push I think we start shipping assets for prospects or hopefully to dump cap space.

Sellers market now. So many teams still in the hunt and very few players available. No interest in waiting until there is more competition for trades as other teams fall ou of contention.

I guarantee the Lakers have called in with some bullshite offer like Robert Sacre and a second round pick.

What if the Lakers offered a package of Randle/Clarkson for Anderson (LINK )? That would be pretty good value to get two young guys. Davis could play more at Center. Clarkson could become a nice replacement for Gordon in a year. I like it..
