He's usually pretty connected to the team. He could be speculating based on the hardcap situation but we will see.

They have to move contracts around to add anyone and not get into the tax/get capped

Does this mean we aren't worried about the hard cap?

Yeah, I think people have posted that his kid and Demps' kid play ball together or something. He also told people not to worry about trades until they happened when everyone started freaking out about trading for Reggie Jackson. I don't think he comments on rumors that often so it was almost like he knew nothing was going to come of it and was telling people not to worry about it.

I hope so. We are in desperate need of a shooter.

If we can get Ryno for Asik, Pondexter, and Ajinca, I would do it. I know he's expensive, but he will contribute more than the trio we would give up.

PG- Rondo/ Cook/ Jackson
SG- Holiday/ Moore/ Crawford
SF- Anderson/ Hill/ Miller
PF- Davis/ Diallo
C- Cousins

2-way contracts: Jok, Jones

If Ryno at SF was viable don't you think it would have already happened with as big of a hole as the Pels have had on the wing while he was here? The trade that makes the most sense is turning Asik into Jared Dudley in a Melo to Houston trade. Unfortunately Houston lacks or is unwilling to part with the expendable assets to make it happen. I get why they wouldn't want to give up Ariza or Gordon or Capella, but they can't honestly expect to trade one of the worst contracts in the league for what is essentially the centerpiece player in a 4 team trade.

Our starting unit needs reliable 3pt shooting. Obviously, if Ryno came back, his role on the team would be different (we have Boogie now). His post-defense is garbage at best, so hide him on the wing, with AD and Boogie defending the paint. Ryno's role would be 3pt specialist, Rondo will find him.

Agree but he wanted out after the Cousins trade. He doesn't want to be here- I would have no problem with him being our backup PF for 15-20 min a game at most.

How does Asik for Jared Dudley fit in a 4-way trade with the Rockets, Knicks, Suns, and Pelicans?

I don't see how that fits in.

The Knicks don't want Asik. The Rockets don't want Asik. The Suns probably don't want Asik, and if they did why do you need a 4-team trade to exchange Asik for Dudley?

Pondexter, Ajinca, Asik. You do realize we have nearly 20 mill tied up in them? I would rather spend that on a consistent contributer like Ryno.

This is what I think the 4-way trade will be.

That would make sense if Anderson played SF. But it doesn't make sense when you already got your front court.

Word is the Rockets already have a suitor for Ryan Anderson. Portland is said to be doing the same thing you want the Pelicans to do, except they have a need at PF. They want to replace their bad contracts given to players who suck with a useful player on a bad contract like Anderson.

The last part of the 4-team trade is the Blazers looking for a team willing to take Myers Leonard's contract. And it seems that team may be the Suns.

It's been said the main pieces of the 4-teams are basically lined up, and they were working on more minor details of the trade to make everyone happy.

That's where they were at when the Knicks put the trade on "pause".
