-Perimeter defense
This is one aspect of the game that having Jrue back completely changed for us. We have three plus defenders on the perimeter now in Cole Qpon and Holiday. The hope and prayer is that the refs let us play playoff basketball against these guys (more contact less foul calls). Curry and Thompson are soft. Everybody know this. We need to expose it.

Anthony freakin Davis
Everybody's been looking at playoff previews featuring AD in the pictures. He looks pissed in all of them. This makes me happy. Lebron didn't have that look this early on. If he plays locked in and pissed off he will dictate this series more than what people think. Average 32 and 15 for us this series (doable) and we've got a chance.

Win this game, don't steal it.
If we eek out any kind of a w that's nice. But dammit if we come out with a convincing W (10pts or more) you deal psychological blows that a young team like the Warriors will have problems overcoming.

Feel free to add more.

There is no difference imo. The Warriors have all the pressure on them. The Pels have none. You get out of Game 1 with a W, you deal the psychological blows you mentioned. I actually think the blowout favors the Warriors as they can use "we know we're fricking better than getting blown out" as an excuse as opposed to "yeah, those ideas we were going to walk through this team might as well be thrown out the window".

If we score more points than them, I think we win game 1.

Our keys are the same they always are:

1) AD must play like an MVP
2) Reke must play like an all-star
3) Monty must make solid decisions regarding rotations.
4) We must make 3's at a solid clip.

We don't play great D, so playing D is not a "key".

Definitely comes down to perimeter D and a dominant inside presence. If we can take away one of the two splash brothers, and make the paint a place where they don't want to go, we can win. Let either Curry or Thompson get theirs and take away the other.

We don't play great d because we lacked legitimate defenders on the perimeter until cole was acquired and jrue got healthy. We should at least be average there now. It has to be a difference. Tony Parker didn't do shite when jrue was in the game Wednesday.

Interesting observation from MM on the latest podcast. Ryno + AD = Bogut out of the paint and an open lane for Tyreke. I'd love to see the Tyreke we saw vs. the Spurs.

Yeah We need to ruin Andrew Bogut. I gained an extreme dislike for him after ball boy comments

Doesn't matter, Kawhi couldn't stop him. Reke's going straight gas against the Warriors. The key is Good Tyreke, he has to pass if he doesn't have a good shot. But if he does draw the best defender than means someone else should have a mismatch.

Or Bogut out of the game.

The Pels have no answers for Curry because no one does. The perimeter d will still be shaky because Cole/Pondexter aren't that good. But they can neutralize Bogut and dictate the way the game will be played. It might not work, but it's not a bad strategy.

Asik needs double digit boards every game this series. No 2nd chance points.

We have arguably the best perimeter defense in the league. We finished with the second best opponent 3P% 33.5, and the fourth lowest oppponent Three Point Rate 23.6%. Most of our defensive scheme is centered around chasing opponents off the three point line, which has been one of the biggest statistical reasons for our teams improved success this year. The Spurs were 3/10 from beyond the arc in the last game.

We will make teams beat us inside, we haven't been very good defensively around the goal this season, but with a healthy Jrue and Cole now our guards are keeping opposing guards from getting easy paths into the lane as much which enables Asik and Davis to be more effective.

You really saw all of these things at work on Wednesday night. The Spurs got theirs, but we did enough to win the game defensively.

With the amount of 3s the Warriors shoot, it will mean a lot of long rebounds. Asik will certainly help, but every man on the floor will have to rebound.

It's the playoffs. It's not how well you can shoot, it's how well you can shoot with someone hanging on you or slapping at you. The Pels would a serve themselves well to keep that in mind as one of the keys to victory. We don't seem to get many calls. I don't expect that to change.
