"Holiday also said that a turf toe injury can be "excruciating," and if he could walk on his hands he would, so he's looking doubtful for Thursday's matchup with the 76ers. "

Dell Demps should just hand him the $25million a year now and get it over with.

Turf toe is probably the worst pain I've ever been in.

It is a very painful injury that people discount and shouldn't.

That being said I'm kind of done with Jrue.

Talk about barely being able to walk on it, much less run back and forth...

Didn't Michael Haynes miss a whole year cause of turf toe when he was with the Saints?

I just don't see how you look like you're trying to win, something that will be important to AD and Loomis/Benson, without bringing back Holiday. I suppose you could target someone like Rubio in a trade and spend the extra $12+ per year on wings that can score.

How do you make this worthwhile for everyone involved?
Holiday to Lakers
Rubio to Pels
Deng to TWolves

Pels need more assets out of this. Jordan Clarkson?

If the Pels continue to lose and they can trade Jrue/Reke anyone else for assets, then give the next GM and coach a blank slate that would be better for everyone, maybe.

I rather not have Rubio than unload a player we'd lose for him. He's a worse fit for AD than anyone we have on the team.

The reality is dell screwed up in the ad era big 3 years straight which puts the future in turmoil. He had a chance to redeem himself after the cp3 era and failed miserably.

The issue is, getting him out now gives us 3 years to salvage it. Letting him continue to try just digs the home even harder for the next gm. By that time, ad will leave if the turnaround isn't fast enough.

We have expirings in an era where they don't matter anymore. We have something like 25mil invested in broken players (Evans, holiday, and qpon).

We have another 25mil in one dimensional players (asik, ajinca, and hill).

Right now our biggest tradeable asset is Moore. After that it's asik.

Thats bad. Don't forget we continue to say screw development by abandoning Hield and letting Ennis walk.

If its that bad and that much pain, wouldn't surprise me if he's out until 2017. I think he'll be out all of this week and be back vs Indy on thursday next week. He'll miss 4 games, 2 away, 2 home (one vs GSW so its an insta-loss anyway).

he's a fantastic passer and PnR ball handler. shooting sucks, but more to the game than "SPACING THO" hes a better fit than Frazier or any other ball handler they have used this year outside of Holiday.

his salary is good for the Pels, assuming Hield develops. his injury history is quite bad for the Pels.

it would be a weird hedge against maxing Holiday and rebooting. whatever. more lobs to AD means id be in

Is turf toe something that happens on a specific incident, or is it a gradual thing?

It can be both. I believe it's typically gradual, which was the case for me.

But this was a specific incident. It happened in the 1Q vs the Thunder Sunday.

Jrue Holiday and E'Twaun Moore listed as questionable for tomorrow vs. Philly. Tyreke Evans is still out.

We look good with Jrue on the court, but that's been so rare that I think im leaning towards letting him walk. The injuries are crippling to a team in our position.
