People who watched Kansas more than I did over the past two years: can Withey pass very well? If he adds a respectable 15 footer and can pass worth a shite to go along with his defense and rebounding, that'll go a long way to making him a legitimate player.

He can pass. Bill Selfs offense is based on high low and JW would get doubled often. He worked really well with Kevin Young down on the block passing and catching (soft hands) very coordinated. Can catch Ally's as good as any big. Also can kick out to the perimeter and does a great job reporting. Very active on D.
I watched every game he played in college. He improved each year and learned from Danny Manning plus other current NBA players.
Hope he turns out as good as I hope. Could be a steal.

He's 222 lbs with a 9'2.5" standing reach averaged 3.9 bpg
Nerlens noel was 206 lbs with a 9'2" standing reach averaged 4.4 bpg

Meh, more of an athlete than J smith at least. Decent athlete for a white 7 footer. Still couldn't be a larry sanders though. Would need to put on a lot of weight to be a starting C.
ETA his block numbers are a lot better than sanders's block numbers in college. His max vert is also higher. Sanders had a lot better rebounding though. I'm actually looking forward to seeing what this kid can do if he puts on weight to bang down low. Next season he should definitely have some blocks.
ETA 2 - He was 22 this past season and nerlens was 18, so take it for what it's worth
