Is Damian Lillard more valuable than AD?

Look what this guy has done with Portland. He's got arguably about the same amount of surrounding support as AD does.

Would you trade AD for Lillard?

Not when you have Jrue Holiday playing good ball and staying healthy.

Put Lillard at SG next to Norris Cole with Cole controlling the offense, then compare the 2.

A guy who can get is own shot is by default more valuable than one who relies on someone else to get him the ball in spots where he can score.

We were so close to having both of them. Instead we got Austin fricking rivers. What a scrub

I don't believe I would either, but there is certainly an argument to be made.

It's not just a "lol no" answer, here.

You guys are also forgetting just how much older Lillard is. He is already 25 years old.

Yes it is.

Dame is older, and plays a very deep position. There are relative ton of guys in the NBA near/above lillard's caliber.

AD is the best 4 in the league.

If you're asking if I'd trade the best 4 in the NBA for maybe the 4th or 5th best PG then my answer is lol no.

Haha. No. The players on his team play instead of sitting on the bench hurt, the roster is put together in a logical manner, and they have a GREAT GREAT coach.

I think its a pretty legit question. Especially when you consider how injury prone AD is

Neil Olshey would trade whatever it took to get Anthony Davis in Portland so...

Let's look at numbers to determine legitimacy, gent

like i said if you consider AD to be injury prone. which he is. he's missed 51 games since his nba debut and lillard doesn't miss games. also lillard has some playoff wins so..

I love AD and hope he is a pelican for life but i am also a realist. I am not going to put the guy on a pedestal. He misses way too many games and hasn't won in the playoffs. I still take AD over lillard but its not a ridiculous question to ask

Anyone debating AD vs Lillard just doesn't understand basketball and no one should waste their time talking to these people tbh

They have a better team than we do at the moment. We have a clusterF of a roster. We may have more talent overall, but what we have is a mess that doesn't fit.

In a guard driven league, he's pretty much what you would want to start out with. He's good offensively across the board and is a good shooter for the volume he attempts (unlike Westbrook). Doesn't miss games and has great health.

Nobody is going to deny it though, AD has vastly underperformed expectations this year and Portland has exceeded all of theirs considering how many starters they lost. Difference is, they drafted players and acquired young, cheap role players who they tried to develop and those guys ended up excelling when given a chance.

Once our guys go, we're gonna be full of off-the-street guys

Harder to find AD than to find a Lillard.
