Yeah, we lost. But this is the type of game that would have snowballed in the regular season. You could tell our guys weren't ready for playoff basketball early on. This is no one's fault. We're young. To fight to the bitter end and lose a 7 (really 5) point game after spotting GSW 23 and losing Tyreke says a lot about our players and the coaching staff. There is a bunch to build off this game, and despite Van Gundy's idiotic commentary (I miss Joel and Wesley so much), we showed them they're in for a fight. Let's give them that same effort in game 2 and let the chips fall where they will.

There are no moral victories, but that's about as good as you can feel after a playoff loss IMO

Absolutely. We took their best shot and bounced back. Can't wait for Monday and I bet the players feel the same way.

I wanted AD to grab Curry's face with both hands and scream "SEE YOU MONDAY MOTHERfrickER!" before leaving the court

Go Pels. frick the world.

Not a moral victory; a fricking threat.

GSW can't say whatever they want, but you know deep down they're nervous now. I think they thought they would be able to take care of us, but now they see the pels won't give up or stop fighting. Now I'm not saying GSW won't win but I think we give them more of a fight than anyone not a pels fan anticipated

I don't feel near as good about the loss as y'all do…what I saw was a poor performance by GSW moreso than a gritty defeat by the Pels.

Then you need glasses, AD was off for a fair part of this game. GS was doing what they pleased getting in the paint. They hit the pedal we and we pushed right back. We all knew going into this that GS was gonna be tough to beat. But in a defeat we learned alot. Was first playoff game for alot of these guys. I was very happy with there resolve.

what's not to like here? a team where most of our young stars were making their playoff debut... we found ourselves down 23 late in the 3rd qtr in a hostile environment... and instead of quitting... we made the best team in the association gut out a 7 point win... and our beast seemed to awaken in the 4th

I do believe the Pelicans have quite a bit of momentum going into game 2 even though they're down in the series 1-0

They stood in there, could have easily given up, but instead, made it interesting. That Davis slam should be play of the week!
