Brooklyn could do WAY better than that for Lopez

What do you think of the Meyers Leonard gambit?

FYI Ersan Ilyasova traded from OKC to Sixers for conditional pick. Clearing room for Jerami Grant.

I guess if we don't trade Tyreke we get to watch him and Lance try to out shimmy one another on the court so there's that

I can't even imagine what that is going to look like. I kind of want to see it. Intense morbid curiosity.

What is MIL plan for John Henson? He's had an odd career there. They never committed to giving him minutes even after paying him

We have got to pounce on Philly or make a three way deal happen somewhere...they have so many bigs.

Philly receives - Tyreke + a conditional first

Orlando receives - Noel + Hollis Thompson

We receive - Vucevic

Does this work?

Why would Orlando want the right to pay Noel Biyombo Money when they just gave Biyombo Biyombo Money?

Good point. They may value that type of 5 the whole game since they are essentially the same player. I don't know.

Admittedly, not one of my better trade ideas.

I do think we need to make something with Philly happen to either facilitate to get a big like Vucevic or just take Noel.

I'm a broken record but I'd rather have Noel than vucevic

I'd rather Vucevic than Noel, but I'm starting to think that Noel is more obtainable.

Vucevic would be a better fit for sure

why? just because he can score? didn't we already play a variation of that tune with Ryan Anderson?

if we assume Holiday isn't coming back, i can buy it. they would need another guy who can soak up possessions. but between Davis/Holiday that just isn't a priority for me.

also, doesn't it worry anyone that the Magic signed a young 5 who can put up STATS to a great contract, yet still felt compelled to trade for Serge Ibaka and sign Bismack Biyombo this summer? Magic braintrust doesn't impress me much, but that is a strange set of moves....

much like the presti plan and the dantoni plan, the demps plan is changing how teams build
copycat league

Because he is a solid rebounder and won't clog the lane offensively for AD to feast. People will have to take him to account on the offensive end unlike Asik or really even Ajinca.

He's also on a favorable contract in today's NBA and is only 25.

preface- he's a fine player. i like him, but not buying the fixation on him being a great fit next to Davis i've seen in some other posts.

the rebounding doesn't impress me too much- Kevin Love, for example, has been a terrific defensive rebounder and no one confuses him with being a good defensive player. the pels were a top 5 DREB team last year and a horrid defense.

offense is nice and a need right now. but the bigger Pels offense issue is perimeter play. and you don't need a stud offensive player at the 5. if Asik could catch lobs (vertical floor stretching matters too) or even just finish open layups/dunks, he would be good enough on offense

that's the best argument for him as a fit on this team. he's a fine, young player on a great contract. nothing wrong about that

i wouldn't be foaming at the mouth if they made a move (assuming it isn't a lottery pick). just don't think he's the answer to any serious questions for this team.

I think that is your misunderstanding. I don't think anyone thinks he is the savior to all of our problems. He's a nice piece that will elevate us some. Jrue needs to come back and Buddy needs to figure out to allow Moore and Hill to be the role players they are meant to be for starters. We would then need an agile rim protector and stretch four and another shooter to complete the team. I am cautiously optimistic that those things are feasible. Just not all this year.

that's all fair and right, i think. that's also sort of my point....Vucevic does none of those things. it's not a bad move, i just don't really understand

agree. just want to see Holiday back for an extended run before making any judgements

How can you watch this team and want to dump a player that will help wins because you don't like him is beyond me. We need all the help we can get.

So, Tyreke helps you win 38 games this year instead of 34 and then you have to decide whether to let him walk for nothing or pay him a 12-20 million per year

Explain to me the appeal in that.
