will the Pels already be out of playoff contention before they return?

This is what I'm most afraid of. I do see some hope when those two are inserted into the roster, but I fear that the hole will be too deep to climb out of.

If Jrue isn't back by November their playoff hopes are done unless something crazy happens like they become a top 2 defense or the guys that have been missing open 3s 10-15% below their averages start hitting them 10-15% above their averages.

I don't know what to do with Tyreke's return. You should be able to ride a Tyreke/AD P&R non stop on offense. But that's not the offense Gentry wants to run. Holiday/Tyreke/Lance/Cunningham/AD would be a very interesting lineup. You've got 3 guys that can attack the basket, Cunningham/Holiday and maybe Tyreke can hit 3s ok, and on defense everyone can switch.

Jrue will be back in the next few weeks, and he is, in my opinion, a much more important piece than Reke. I see Reke as a trade asset once he gets healthy.

Correct. We are talking about Jrue, QPon, and whoever we trade for being added to this team eventually

Tyreke is targeting the end of November, if he comes back that quickly he'll have 7-10 games as a Pel before December 15th. I know you want people to get used to their long term roles, but if Tyreke can help you win 1-2 more games at the short term expense of Buddy or Frazier's minutes, I think Demps and Gentry take those 1 or 2 extra wins.

Unless you're a minimum level player or you're talking about the last year of a long term deal, your contract is usually guaranteed in the NBA whether you play or not.

Please tell me what we can actually get for a guy who missed a full year and has only played 5 games not to mention he's a expiring? We couldn't even get a player of Fraizer caliber at this point. You guys are so delusional the best we can get in return is a player some team want unload with multiple years on his contact. Delusion is a understament for some of y'all.

I've been downplaying Tyreke's trade value for months saying his comp is probably Reggie Jackson, 2nds and scrubs.

I do think you could get Monroe for a healthy Tyreke but that's it on his own. I'd see what I could get bundling a lottery protected 1st with him though.

Reke for Monroe straight up is definitely doable. Bucks don't have to worry about Monroe's player option next year and in its place have a ten million dollar expiring contract. Pels get a hometown Center who should fit nicely next to AD.

Monroe has already talked about opting in. Bucks don't want that. They would much prefer an expiring who is hungry to prove himself

Question is whether they will take Ajinca too, which Pels will insist on. At least at first

Monroe is a option but you're replacing one player that doesn't fit the system for another with extra years on his contract. It also seems the Bucks don't just want to give Monroe away they've had plenty chance to do so. I'm just saying you guys acting like Tyreke playing 5 games will make GM's believe he can last for a season. Those few games will not not change any opinions on his health until he can play at least half a season with all the surgeries he's had.

I don't think any GM will want Tyreke the player. They want Tyreke the contract. And if they trade for him fast enough, and he does play well, they can flip him to a contender before the deadline

And no, the Bucks can't give Monroe away. They have tried.

I'm still unsure on how much this team wants Monroe. He doesn't fit at all being a ball stopper, Gentry prefers to go small, a defensive liability, and well have close to 28 mil tied up in the center position when AD spending a large amount of time playing there. If its made this is a desperation move to get talent and gentry would have to be willing to adjust.

That's why I think the play is to bundle Tyreke with a pick for someone like Vucevic. Projecting as positively as reasonable with Diallo puts him as probably your 3rd big, which means you still need a 2nd big long term and it's starting to look like that guy should be a center and not a PF.

What about Meyers Leonard?

Out of the rotation in Portland, under contract for awhile (but its reasonable).

Would Portland want to cheapen his deal or get an expiring?

Either Tyreke or Ajinca goes to Portland, the other goes to a 3rd team.

I'm going to take a stab and guess that Jrue is back when we play Boston on 11/14.

I've never liked Leonard much. I'm sure some of this is because he's a stretch big, but his rebounding is not good at all. I just feel we need rebounding because AD can't do it all himself. But the Pels may need to take some chances on guys that recently got paid but didn't work out for their team. If you're not a FA destination it's the cheapest way to turn cap space into talent. But you have to choose wisely.
