see my thoughts are you get Pau Gasol, Granger, Davis, EG, and a PG now you have 3 guys who are injury risks and your paying big money to all of them and they are old what will you do in lets say 3 years when they are gone? AD 3 years down the road has developed into what we think he will be so you bank on bringing in more FA's during the offseason? We are a small market team and we cannot rely on FA's to come here even with AD
get me young guys, get players from the draft and watch lets say Porter, Davis, Rivers, Gordon, and Anderson grow together and sprinkle in one or two FA's which is a little more likely maybe a trade but as a small market team you can't rely (not saying it doesnt happen) but you cannot rely on FA's and trades

When Gasol came into the league he was a PF/C tweener with a developing offensive game. But he was a hustler and a good defensive player, much like Davis. Everybody points to the Spurs as our model. Well the Spurs had Robinson to show Duncan the way. It could be something similar with Davis and Gasol.

Flip that. Gasol was the Center on two NBA championship teams (recently), with Bynum backing him up. He is a career 20/10 guy and given starter minutes would be again. The contract is expiring, which is a huge deal. That's 20 million to spend in a great 2014 free agent market, plus they would still have Lopez.

yea but there are better/cheaper mentors that actually play center out there...Gasol is technically a PF a little to soft to be a C

(make the salaries work but keep the gist of the deals)

Playoffs. Young core with immediately the best front court in the league.

I just don't think Davis is ready or capable of playing Center full time. If he is and it happens, then that's awesome, keep Anderson. Otherwise, I think, they need to move on from that arrangement.

...Power Forwards that shoot and make a lot of 3s are nice assets. I don't know why people want to get rid of Anderson. Great contract, young, solid player. The Lakers and a lot of other teams would love to have him. We should too.

Smart and Oladipo were guys that I really didn't like but are growing on me....Victor has to be able to play SF for it to work out in my scenario though.

The Warriors are struggling. They need a creator and neither of those are while Gordon has the potential to be. Throw in Vasquez if you have too... And Cousins is worth the risk. Hope Monty can get him in line and he has the potential to be the best center in the league

Since when is Gordon only a scorer? He's a great defender as well but that's not my point. They don't have someone who can create their own shot which Gordon can undoubtedly do. And Cousins still plays well on the court despite his antics

Gasol is a very skilled player, but he has been called soft....He's not the guy I would want as Davis' mentor anyway.
In twelve seasons, Gasol has put up 10+ RPG three times...2+ BPG twice.
In fourteen seasons, Robinson put up 10+ RPG nine times...2+ BPG eleven times.

True. However,he would not fix there defensive woes by himself. My point was that the reason the Warriors are struggling isn't because they need a creator on offense, which is what you said. Its because of atrocious team defense.
Also, I think JJ and Steph Curry would like to talk with you as far as your creator concerns. Its the best thing Curry has added to his game this year, he's consistently been breaking defenders down and getting his own shot.
Also, did I once question Cousin's abilities, on the court?
