"PIE"= player impact estimate (nba.com)
Pelicans would have finished FIFTH in the West under this method. Next year should be fun.
*OKC and LAC might be higher than SA b/c of easier schedule. Southwest division is by far the toughest. Another factor is bench isn't considered*

That's a bunch of meaningless numbers to me

This is assuming Jrue and Ryno are still as effective post-injury as they were pre-injury.

Top five players above ranked by PIE
Durant
Paul
A. Davis
Curry
Griffin
Westbrook
Top three teams
OKC
LAC
SAS
The results are more than reasonable. PIE isn't meaningless. The above is just one way to show how the Pelicans could have done if injuries weren't a factor.

I think they should mix up some times and use the alphabet.

I don't know how PIE is created, but ours would also likely be slightly skewed due to so many injuries. We've had guys like Evans have to step-up and "be the man" for long stretches of time. Will that work as well once everyone else is healthy?
Everyone has always said we have some talent on this team, but does it fit? There's only one ball.
But yea, the team is better than the record says. I still wish we hadn't made some of the movies we did, but we're definitely not as bad as we seem.

Why wouldn't they be?

EG and the lack of a decent bruiser 5 are the only problem on this team.
Jrue+Tyreke will work together fine
Ryno will get 25-30 as ADs backup/sixth man.
I also really like our depth with Morrow/Babbitt/Rivers/Withey/Ajinca

Wouldn't the 3 then be a legitimate problem for us?

Not really
You could easily role with a vet 3+D guy(not too expensive) and babbit(morrow can play the 3 too.)
If EG goes even better
