How does this make you feel? Are these legit stat that means he's back or just empty stat because we have no other scorers?

PER is 14.9. He is shooting 40.3% from the field. I think his raw numbers are higher due to injuries and the accelerated pace of play.

The guy is on the court. More than you can say for most Pels.

He has improved in some areas but still doesn't seem like a fit long term because he's too small on defense. For the price he'll probably command we need a 2 way player. Jrue made Dirk uncomfortable, Tyreke probably could as well. Gordon is an orange carpet when he switches onto bigger players despite a galant effort.

fricking guy stole money from the Pels.

He is Klay Thompson with worse defense and isn't as good shooting inside the arc.

He's moving better, and he at least tries on defense.
IMO he's better than a Jodie Meeks/Anthony Morrow type, but it's closer than one would think.

How much money will he get though? I don't want to sign anyone that isn't a max player the next 2 offseasons. A $20 million bump in the cap each year is just going to lead to crazy prices.

At this point, he's a shooter that can run the offense in spurts to change the offensive rhythm if it goes on some dull stretches, which happened a ton last year.
Long gone are the days of him slashing and finishing, he's a good shooter. Nothing more. Too bad we didn't let him go to Phoenix for a ton of picks, we could be loaded properly with cheap contracts instead of 3 awkward guards.

His contract is going to look like a discount in two years

Even with the cap increase, I'd be surprised if he got a raise from his current deal. Under the (likely true) assumption that both Middleton and Danny Green took below market contracts to stay put, they are both superior to this version of Gordon. And the cap increase does mean more available money, but the spike was taken into account when negotiating deals this past summer too.
Maybe someone gets desperate to spend all their money. But the penalty for going under the salary floor is practically nothing (you just pay your on contract players the difference). It only takes one a-hole, but this version of Gordon in a new cap world is somewhere around $8-12/year for me.
That will be very tricky and likely mean giving up depth and picks (again).

Slow down. Danny Green is averaging 7 points per game so far.

It's not really 3 "awkward" guards at all, that's a misconception.
And no I highly doubt they wouldve gotten as much as you're suggesting for EG.

What a scrub. People were arguing that he was a top 10 SG in the offseason.

He's a nice piece that most teams would like but no top 10 SG.

I know your shtick, at times, is to be obtuse and contrary, but this is embarrassing.
There is no team in the league that wouldn't take Green on his contract over Gordon.

He's getting to the FT line a bit more(3 vs 2.2 last year) and his 3 point shot is no fluke(39.4% on 8.2 attempts)

Definitely would like to see his 3pt percentage close to 42-43%.
