The Pelicans have contacted the Grizzlies about a trade scenario surrounding Eric Gordon and Jeff Green.

I'm not a big Green fan. My favorite part of the big trade last season is that QPon actually outplayed him despite being a throw in. I suppose Green does fit into the whole defensive versatility thing that Gentry would like. Can easily play small ball 4.

Green can probably defend 2-4, he's very inconsistent, though.

Not super familiar with Greens overall game, I know he shoots the 3 at a decent clip and has good athleticism but other than that I don't know much. Can someone give me a rundown?

Meh, I don't know. I like what both Gordon and Q-Pon did for us last season.

The only benefit to this trade is that we have more flexibility THIS summer. Both Gordon and Green's contracts will be up next summer. As for physical attributes of each player, I guess you gain defense with Green but losing the 3 point shooting ability of Gordon.

Interesting though.

I'm pretty surprised if this is true. I really thought Gentry would like eg and he was finally buying in.

Green is an expiring as well fyi, and makes 5 mill less.

I remember hearing that he wasn't great with Memphis but he did shoot the 3 well, especially after the Break.

It's not like Gordon was draining 5+ three pointers a game.

Would much prefer Gordon as someone who's not a fan of either team. Green was terrible for MEM, just terrible.

Green would be much better in a fast paced offense. Grizzles style doesnt let him use his athleticism nearly enough out in the open court.

there would necessarily be something else, salaries aren't equal enough to trade and the delta between salaries would push memphis into the tax. $3.3MM would have to come back to the pels (guess how much matt barnes makes...?)

Yeah it's great to tell another team if you want to trade him. This is the highest his value will ever be. Trade him now

Green is a much better defender, and has made over 35% of his threes the last 3 years.
I'd love to be able to get Jeff Green and sign Danny Green to replace EG
EG has regressed in PPG by 2 points in each of his last 5 seasons. He's on pace for 11ppg next year.

Jrue
Danny Green
Jeff Green
AD
hopefully not Asik

Cole
Reke
QPon
DC/Ajinca
Anderson
