Getting tickets outside arena on game night (difficult?)

I'm planning on coming down for the Portland game on 3/14, how difficult is it to get tickets outside the arena for a game like this? Don't want level 300's but anything below that is good. Never done it for an NBA game. Got 2 young children and wife so don't need it to be too difficult if you know what i mean. Thanks in advance.

You can get them outside the game, but it will probably be best if you just get them online like the others have said.

Well it's technically illegal to buy and sell on arena grounds

If you want to buy outside, a plethora of scalpers assemble across the street from the SKC by the Dome. Look for the gang of fast talking black men, you can't miss them

I'm coming to New Orleans for the jazz game on March 28. Tickets look quite cheap.
