I am a huge CP3 fan and would hate to see him leave,so I believe we really need to get him some help. Realistically speaking, who do you think we could actually acquire to appease him? We obviously need another trustworthy shooter and a big man who doesn't suck

Realistically speaking, their hands are tied unless they trade DWest. They have no assets, no draft picks to make a blockbuster trade unless star comes out and demand a trade to play along side of CP3.

I think next year the team will look similar to this past year with the addition/subtraction of one or two people. Nobody stellar will be added for that WOW factor this year that will make them contenders to play for a title.

Seems Demps will have to get real creative then.

There's hardly trades made that lift a team from just any other playoff team to O'Brien trophy contenders.

It's about taking steps in the right direction, a move here a move there. Showing signs of improvement is EXTREMELY important to keeping Chris. For instance, winning a playoff series next year.

My suggestion of trading DWest and Okafor for Bogut certainly doesn't make us title contenders, but I think it improves our team enough to possibly get thru the first round and a step forward in the right direction IMO. Next, would be to add another piece and move another step forward..it's a process.

IMO We need another rebounding 7 footer and a starting 3 and put Ariza at 2 and get the next 6th man award type player

How about instead we get a starting 2 and keep Ariza at 3?

SJax really seems to be the available player that is closest to what the Hornets are missing. He can score, shoot and defend while being big enough to play SF when Ariza needs to lockdown a SG. S&T Landry + QPon for SJax then extend West and sign Humphries? Probably not a realistic trade for Jackson, but about the best the Hornets could offer.

The question is, how do the Bobcats feel about TT and Cunningham ? Man you love you some Kris Humphries though to, huh ? Lol. He played really well for NJ once DWill got there, I just don't see how they can let him get away. He does everything well that Lopez sucks at.

I don't love him as much as I see him and Landry as the best "value" PFs and I'm afraid of West and Landry together long term. I really think if Demps signs both West and Landry he needs to flip one.

What you think about Leon Powe ? We were one of the teams rumored to go after him when he first came back. He played some decent games for Memphis during the regular season but is not in their playoff rotations. If of course one of West or Landry is flipped for another piece.

Don't know enough about him to really comment but there are very few obvious moves Demps has the resources to make. To keep CP3 he's going to have to find some diamonds in the rough.

Atleast the people still under contract after this season are atleast solid contributors.

Too bad Peja sucked so bad during the season we couldn't get really anything out of his expiring contract.

I thought the Landry move was a brilliant immediate backup plan for if DWest left in FA.

This will be Demps first full offseason so we will have to see how it goes.

I know we had to trade it to make all the moves we did, but I wish we still had a first rounder.
