Gentry is a dumb arse

He was going to start Jrue but changed his mind to start Cole. A Cole/Reke backcourt is a duo of low iq and bad decision making. What is the point of having a good bench if they are always playing with a 10 point deficit.

2 thoughts. First goes back to the thread I started a few weeks ago, is Gentry stupid or tanking. The over playing of Cole is just inexplicable. He and Demps had a heated conversation following multiple days of talk about change to the starting lineup that never happened. Maybe he's dumb, but I don't think tanking is out of the question.
Second, corndeaux made a good point that since Jrue's injury is stress based then maybe him becoming a 6th man would prolong his career? Why has he only played 28 minutes or less after 2 games in a row of 35ish minutes? Either the extended minutes gave Jrue problems, he still has some sort of restriction they aren't telling us about, or Gentry stupidly/tankingly likes Cole.

Tyreke is limited around 30 mins now with his knee so what is the difference? We'll be down 20 but at least we'll have some bench scoring. Half the teams in the leauge have a shitty bench. I think he just has a terrible eye for talent. Cole plays his style of basketball but suck but Gentry still likes that it's his style.

IMO its to create a half-decent balance to the team.
You could have a better starting 5 with great spacing and get AD running, but then you bring Cole and Ryno off the bench and you have stagnant ball movement.
You leave Cole AND tyreke on the starters, you get stagnant ball movement, but at least AD can demand the ball and create spacing for himself. Then you have Jrue with Ryno and you have instantly better ball movement and spacing.
Regardless, they're all going to play ~90 minutes total anyway regardless of how you stagger them.

Because you still need some balance. It's like hockey, you don't just skate a line of 1's. You gotta evenly distribute so you don't get blown out

Well this plan has worked out pretty well so far.
Is this our highest scoring half so far this season?
