Game 4: Do you think the team will come out and play inspired or defeated

Although game 3 was a crushing loss, I hope the team goes back and look at the tape from all three games and they realize that for the most part of this series they have outplayed Golden State. That's the only thing I can think of for them to come out and play inspired basketball after such a crushing defeat.

This team has surprised me all year. I fully expect them to lose by 15. But who knows.

Defeated. That was a bullet to the head yesterday and the Pelicans are currently in the vegetable state until until the Warriors pull the plug tomorrow. There's no way the team comes out swinging. It will be blow out IMO with GS winning by no less than 10.

Defeated. History tells us that will be the case.

You would like to hope that they still have something left in the tank.

I wouldn't be surprised if they came out swinging. As crushing as that had to be, this team has been fighting after everyone counted them out for the past 2 months. If I were them I'd probably be looking for redemption, not summer vacation.

That being said, I'd understand if they're too shell shocked to make it happen.

Last night was the 3rd largest 4th quarter comeback in NBA playoff history. Really no word describes or can describe the mood of the team right now. Some games you can learn from and get over it, like game 2. Other games, like this one stay with players for years and will be impossible for them to fully get over it, let alone by tomorrow. Practice will be miserable, the game will be miserable, and with not much $ to spend for an improved roster, this offseason will be long and miserable. I don't even want to get into specifics from last nights game as to why we lost but you can't get over that. That was a historical collapse to go down 3-0.

How much Zoloft do you go through per day to always remain positive regarding this team?

This series is going the distance.

An epic collapse, and it was epic, maybe even biblical, doesn't change the fact that they are a healthy Jrue Holiday away from being up 2-1. The pieces are there for this team to be really good.

As for whether they have any fight left

quote:

'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.

Straight gas. I think they need Jrue to have a prayer and that's an iffy proposition with only 1 day off, but I dont' think they're going to lay down and die.

I think there's a reasonable chance the Pels come out swinging. I'd be disappointed if they don't. I don't think they win, but I think they give a good effort.

They will lay down like Dogs. Hell, Jimmer will probably bring his golf bag and sit it behind the bench.

This team will play hard. It's a win-win tomorrow. You win, you avoid getting swept and get to live another day. You lose. Monty gets a big ole broom on his resume.
