Do y'all think any of our players give the team a discount on their next contract since they have made so much money per game actually played?

Holiday averages $255K per game played while in New Orleans.

Gordon averages $318K per game played while in New Orleans.

Extrapolated out for an 82 game span that is $20.9 million and $26.1 million.

Well thats how devastating is in when you spend that kind of money and it sits on the bench.

How can the team compete when it is allocating that much of the salary cap?

Gordon has looked great recently and I would like to see him back. It would be nice if he gave the team a discount so they could build around the cornerstone.

Oh, I have no doubt that they will.

Damn imagine making $250k for a 3 hour event. And doing it 82 times a year. You would have no idea what to do with all that cash. Yet players still routinely go bankrupt

No, and they should not. Limited earing potential in sports. Given these guys history they should get what they can get

Thats kind of on the front office though. I dont see anyone in any line of work running to give up money to management.
