When did I ever say he is untradeable?

When you say you are speaking for another man, quote his actual words.

Now, I don't think Tyreke will be traded, but I could see a scenario where it is financially beneficial for another team to take him. So, it's possible. What I don't think is possible, is the team getting 1/10th of the packages some have proposed on here for him. And I can't wait for the truth to come out in all of this, so we can intelligently discuss why.

And no, I won't go any further, so don't ask. If it annoys you that I am being vague, then sorry, but that's my choice. We will eventually be able to fully discuss this situation with all the facts, but that day is not today.

You may have never said the word "untradeable" but comments like "negative value" and "they would want someone who could play, right?" and his Medicals are that bad (paraphrasing) means the same

Wasn't trying to quote on it but you have insuiated a bunch. That's all I mean.

I don't think he's fetching a first. But finding a taker who needs to fill their roster and meet the salary floor and want open cap space next year isn't an illogical or unrealistic thing to look for (see Miami and possibly the Nets)

That's the problem with y'all hanging on his every word.Y'all can separate his info from his opinions. TBW (majority a few guys like him) and BSS dislike Tyreke on this team and as a player. So they make articles of dumping him or trading his for a scrap heap are opinion articles but you guys take it as inside info. Dell doesnt think or move that way. There are more issues to it but its more than just fit. He won't be dumped or stretched like those guys keep bringing up and all honestly if you want him gone this season stop wasting your time because he's staying.

I guess it depends on if you'd rather reach the floor with a guy who could be on the court, or reach the floor just to reach it. I think the big assumption most make is that Tyreke will be able to play next year. I have not made that assumption yet

The way the salary floor works a trade now is bad for those purposes. Just like the tax calculations, the floor is based on the end of the year contracts. So if you get up to the floor by absorbing a contract, you're better off waiting until the trade deadline when 60% of the actual money has already been paid by someone else. You reach the floor and save $6 million in the process.

You are a smart guy Tiger. There is one other financial benefit a team might get for having Tyreke on their roster. I trust you will figure it out, since you got this far

If his medical condition is as bad as you imply and he misses enough games insurance would pick up a big chunk of the bill for the team.

Did they get any insurance pay outs last season like on QPon at least? Doesn't affect your cap space, but $3 million added to the team budget lets you buy thing like sports tech services or could help absorb 1 year of the salary of a coach making about $3.5. Or maybe that's how they made Ferry official.

Also you have to think its deeper than just the game. Its relationships to maintain. You don't throw away a player if he's injured on his contract year and expect to keep good with major sports agent to get future players to your team. Those agents see contracts years just as important as a players in terms of money. As for the injury I don't think anyone is 100% sure what the situation is if he will or won't play besides Dell and the medical staff.

The Pels just signed Moore, Galloway, and Frazier and drafted Hield this offseason, where does Tyreke fit in the guard rotation?

He's better than every player you named that's where he fits. If he's healthy and you think those guys will get mins over him then you are crazy. Frazier is most likely the 3rd string pg and will get a couple DNPs. I think they don't over play Jrue this year having him avg 30 min. Guys like Moore and Galloway won't see over 15 mins. Tyreke will probably play mins in all 1-3 spots and will play sub 30 mins if healthy. With Q, Jrue, and Reke missing close to full seasons recently and missing Gordon and Ryan they need insurance and Hill, Q, More, Fraizer, and Galloway aren't 30 min players so they fill those holes as a team.

So Moore came to the Pelicans to get less playing time than he had in Chicago? You think Galloway will come here for a huge reduction in playing time, too? They paid Hill 4 years and 48 mil to play less than 30 minutes per game?

Tyreke is not a fit for this team, you just refuse to accept that.

I wonder with the Blazers matching for Crabb and the Heat sound like there going to match for Johnson if the Nets would trade for Tyreke

I think it is the best remaining possibility. Though I think Nets will likely go after Sullinger and/or Harkless first. But yes, I think they would consider Tyreke if it helps get them to the floor. But they also probably know that same opportunity will be there in January or February, so why do it now?

They should offer Harkless the same deal they offered Crabbe. I doubt Portland matches them both. Sullinger is a UFA now, so they can probably land him too, if that's what they want to go for.
