McCollum torched Duke and Kansas while surrounded by inferior teammates.

He shot 37% against Duke and 33% against Kansas...

ETA: and 22% against vs Xavier.

McLemore not even being around is a bad sign about Gordon going anywhere

just read a couple of comparison articles and based off an extremly reactionary thought process; i'd go with burke over cj. there seems to be more substance with burke's overall game.

Again the both worry me somewhat but I think regardless both will be solid pros. I don't think McCollum is as good as Lilliard so that pushes me towards Burke, but Burke's athleticism scares me a little. Luckily Dell is a lot smarter than me. I think both guys are safe picks and fit our scheme.

When he also scored 30 points, shot 16 FTs, had 7 assists and beat Duke with a 15th seed from the Patriot League?

In 2010 as a freshman when he also got to the line 13 times and had 7 boards plus 3 steals against a #1 seed?

I think McCollum will be a better NBA player than Burke. I wouldn't mind either pick.

Bringing in Burke and MCW to work out with and against each other was surely strategic. Dell and Monty got to see first-hand how Burke would be able to match up with a very athletic point guard with length. They probably know what McCollum brings to the table.

So who do you think we draft?

Tell me who the first five picks are.

I have no idea who they value more between Burke or McCollum. I personally give the edge to McCollum but it is close any way you slice it. Demps may prefer Burke, of course.

I think the Pels rank Porter over Burke or McCollum because that pick fills a need with a can't-miss good player in a down draft. I have a hunch they won't pick McLemore if he falls because of character issues (they made trade in this case with MIN).

So I'm assuming the reason McCollum is higher than Burke is because he is bigger and probably plays defense better

Frankly I'm surprised MCW wasn't ahead of Burke too

I don't understand the Len love. Haven't we seen this story over and over again?

I love it! You field calls for the pick, and all indications are Minny will offer 9, 26 and Derrick Williams to get a SG like McLemore. I'd take it in this scenario like a thief.

Then you wait just two more picks. If McCollum and Burke go 7 and 8, you take KCP and don't look back. Good chance though that you get one of the two if Zeller goes before 9 like many mocks expect.

He has a lot of Meyers Leonard in him.

So you think we might have a trade in place if the board falls a certain way?

MCW is an elite athlete, but as a PG you want him to be an elite scorer, distributor or both. He is neither. Since he played zone at Syracuse, you have no idea if he is even going to be a plus defender.

Me either

In a good draft he's a mid to late first rounder type

MCW is a more athletic Vasquez with no shooting ability

I'll take Burke and McCollum WAY before that guy

I can talk myself into almost any player at 6 except MCW. I don't see anything in him.
