"But at the end of the day, it was business. We (agent Arn Tellem and Evans' family) did what was best for my career. We definitely wanted to stay in Sac, but that didn't work out, so I have an opportunity to go to New Orleans

I like that attitude, whatever it takes to win.

ETA: If you ask most free agents they would probably rather stay where they are, rather than having to find a new home and establish themselves elsewhere.

Just being careful with his words during the move. Smart kid. Not a good look to sound bitter or bashhis former team.

I would say its natural for any player to want to stay where they are unless they are under a lot of scrutiny, ala Dwight Howard etc etc. Especially since Sac is all he has known, Id say its normal he feels that way. He was respectful to the pelicans fans the way he said it.

He could be like Gordon and complain that he has to go from a competing Clippers team to a shitty NewOrleans team which is understandable, but he had no respect for our organization the way he said what he said.

Seems to be a pretty standard response for a player that switches teams. I mean, its not like he was saying that he didn't want us to sign him or that his heart was in a different city, but who would do that?

Gordon looks to have a slight smirk where Kaman and Aminu look pissed off.

Meh that's understandable. As long as he's willing to get over it (which it sounds like he already is) then I'm fine.
