Just heard him say that. Makes sense. They want to strengthen small market teams, what better way than to reduce competition.

it's the only thing that makes sense...why deny all of these trades otherwise, etc. stern isn't a dumbass. he has the job for a reason. i know most people here hate him now, but he's a smart man. his lack of saying anything in public is saying a lot.

He did not say that.
He was asked if the reason the Stern was doing this was because he planned to contract the hornets, and he answered I have not heard that but what the commisioner doing doesn't make sense and that would be one reason that would make all the decsisions he is making make sense
