Also, there's no way there's good news, right? What do you think they will say?

@McNamara247: @GerrityJoe will be at today's Eric Gordon press conference. No sources, just gut, but I have the feeling we are in for some bad news

@McNamara247: I just couldn't see him holding a press conference to say he will be back in a week. What would be the point? Either bad news or no news

I hope they say they are sending him to Dr. James Andrews or some other non team specialist for a 2nd opinion. He can't be traded until December 15th at the earliest so there really is nothing else to say besides that.

is it a normal post-practice media session, or is dell/monty speaking on EG specifically? i'm guessing EG will not be available for comment

I hope they say he will be back on Friday, but seeing a top specialist couldn't hurt. I wonder if they've thought of using enriched blood to try to speed up the healing. I know several pro athletes have done so in the last few years to good results.

Bank on him saying he will sit while Hornets work on a trade. He appreciates the city, but his heart isn't here. No hard feelings but he'll feel it's best for everyone to part ways immediately then try to make a forced relationship work.

get rid of him. well be just fine without him. I'd rather have players who want to be here on our team.

This can't be good. I don't see it being good news. I also don't see him starting a press conference saying he wants to be traded. So it's bad news about the injury. What if he found out his kness are in such bad shape that he has to retire?

And if he doesn't?

"Thank you for being here. We held this press conference to let the New Orleans fan base know that Eric Gordon has requested to be traded. We are going to honor his wishes but not until December. Therefore, to avoid any confusion he will no longer play or practice with the team. This is a choice to hold onto the team chemistry developed by the players we have who want to be here. We wish Eric well but cannot sacrifice anymore of the hard work our team has given. Now I am going to turn this over Monty." -Dumps

i'm going to bank on demps just saying that they just don't know what's wrong. they are going to get some second opinion and go from there. he's out for a while, but they can't be sure how long. nothing too big. seems like this is just a normal post-practice presser, but with a big added because of the injury.

"Thank you for attending this press conference. New Orleans has been a pretty good city but I have requested to be traded. Since the summer I've been dating Michael Beasley and we want to be on the same team. We've tried to keep it secret but I cant hold it in. Tootles!"
