I know this was a joke but I am so sick of the PER crap. It's illogical. None of these players will play 48/min/game and if they did, they'd be taking away shots from other players which would affect their per.

lolwut? That is the whole point of PER. It factors in both of those things. PPG and other simpler stats did not.

PER = Player Efficiency Rating

It's a so-so indicator, in my opinion. Most advanced stats rely on arbitrarily created formulae.

PER tells a lot about a player

Lebron
Durant
CP3
Melo
Kobe
Duncan
Griffin
Harden

All in the top 10 in PER. Some of the best players in the league, yes? Seems accurate.

Of course there's always that guy who plays 10 mpg or the guy who has ridiculous % who has a nice, albeit skewed, PER
