The hornets roster as it currently stands lacks consistency from beyond the arc. Marco is an above average 3PT shooter, but he is the only one on our roster. Jack and Gordon both have 3PT range, but are very inconsistent from that range. I just feel like getting a 2nd rounder for Doron Lamb is a cheap and quick fix for a problem.

Thoughts?

I don't even understand what you're saying here but I'll assume you want us to take him with our 2nd round pick that we do not have.

Belinelli shot 41% 2 years ago and 38% last year from 3.

39% career 3 Point Percentage and he shot 38% last season. The problem with Belinelli is he should be shooting at lest 45% with as many open looks as he gets.

better than 50% of the league is above average...

I do agree we need better 3 pt options

I'm talking about acquiring one, which isn't too hard.

I have to admit, I don't even know what a high second round pick would cost. Money? Player? Future pick?

34%-36% is actually closer to the average. I'll try to find the exact average for the 2011-1012 regular season.

Lamb is not an unknown. He is one of the safer picks in the draft. What he does (Hit open long distance jumpers) translates well. All he will ever be is a bench shooter/scorer, but that isn't something we have other than Beli.

If Belli leaves the Lamb idea is good if Belli wants to stay than it's not

Xavier Henry makes 2 million dollars and is a career .265 3PT shooter.

Lamb would make next to nothing and is likely a 37% shooter his rookie year at worst.

Thanks for playing
