No one disagrees. Again, I think most GMs do the same thing, though.
They would be fired for it as well..
They dealt him for Evans.
They dumped them for cap space to sign Evans. Big difference..
I doubt that keeping all 3 guards long term is Demps's plan.
Still a mistake. You cannot showcase 3 guards at one time, so all you do is kill at least one of the guy's trade value. Everybody knew that one of the guy's numbers would suffer and they have..
They did that to free up cap space this season. Without doing that. We don't land either Jrue or Reke (maybe neither).
Dead money is dead money. He still has to explain to his owner why he spent 20 million just to get rid of two guys that are still playing. I understand the concept, but it's a waste..
Expirings don't get you that much these days.
I don't know about that either. Supposedly they are the most valuable types of contracts to have..
So you're ragging on Demps for something that you're not even sure was a bad move yet?
Yes, the Holiday deal was controversial and we needed a slam dunk out of it to look good. Holiday has been solid, but he's not an all star guard and hasn't made the team that much better. Maybe he will, but hasn't happened yet. I don't think this was a plus trade..
