At the very worst make a trade to save the season, but instead let's just sit out and let Anderson and Gordon walk. Its so sad how management is and even the management at the top won't do anything about it.

Lists of bad decisions he has made, in hindsight of course

1. Re-Signed EG instead of S&T to Phoenix
2. Drafted Austin Rivers
3. Giving up 2 1st rounders for Jrue
4. Traded GV and RoLo for Tyreke
5. Traded a 1st rounder for Omer Asik
6. Re-Signed Omer Asik
7. Kept an expiring EG and Ryno

Tough day for Pels fans but maybe we rather the cap space over marginal players. Just gotta see what we do with the cap space

I'd say Mickey thinks he has a chance to keep Ryan Anderson a Pelican.

Quite the opposite. The rumors seem to indicate Demps was being unreasonable in his demands but was certainly out there. So in response to our stubbornness all these teams went other directions. He expected teams to blink and instead they just hung up the phone.

Now Demps is left empty handed and either we get into another Asik situation of paying too much for a player(s) given the opportunity cost or letting them walk for nothing.

Don't forget the first rounder for Jerryd Bayless.

that was a really good deal for us, esp if you consider that the NBA allowed the 76ers to lie about his lower lg injuries

The only evidence we have of this is that he told Demps not to trade away our first rounder again and the confusion from Lowe's insiders about who GM's think they should be calling.

He was basically handcuffed from doing what Demps does best and that is throw away draft picks.

Vote is still out on this one. So far the guy can't stay on the court and we still don't have enough data to be confident in his consistency or whether he will remain healthy.

Thanks, I forgot all about that one.

Which ended up being with filler for Jack.

The pick ultimately became...Tobias Harris

He's honestly got to be gone. I really hope we bring in Travis Schlenk.

I'm of the opinion that Demps's fate was already sealed, and not making a move is indicative of that.

He's done, its over.

I understood it too.

After sending away a starting caliber center, RoLo, for a 4th guard (If you're including Jrue, EG, and Rivers), Stiemsma and co showed you kind of need a relatively decent defensive one.

So we made the trade.

Issue is, we made a trade for a semi-broken one and then gave it good money. Realistically his contract going into 2016-2017 is equivalent to giving a center 5-6mil a year just last year which is smart, but damn we give out 1sts like no other is the argument

That should be the target, but there's no way in hell we have that kind of vision.

quote:

October 23, 2010: Traded a 2011 1st round draft pick (Tobias Harris was later selected) to the Portland Trail Blazers for Jerryd Bayless.
