Interesting. Wonder if the potential deal being finalized is the Russ Smith deal, or a different deal all together.
The fact that he said a "potential deal tonight" is being finalized catches my eye. Since you can't talk about a deal before it's finalized due to NBA rules, yet he already mentioned Russ smith in another quote. And the asik thing went down yesterday.
Or I could just be over analyzing shite to get my hopes up.

The Russ deal would have already been complete. Otherwise Dell wouldn't have been talking about a player the Sixers have the rights to.

I doubt he would have hinted at a deal that wasn't completed that hadn't leaked yet.
He can't talk about the Asik deal, and as we know, we will have to do something with some of our salary, so they are probably still working on a threeway deal.

People over on PR are taking the video as Dell hinting that Gordon is out when all Demps said is that they have competition at SG with Tyreke and Gordon and who gets to start will work itself out. To me it sounded more like he's expecting a camp battle than a trade.

Yeah same here. Could be a subtle hint to Gordon that he is no longer a starter, so play ball with us regarding opt in, but I think it was just a general comment on the competition.
