Delusional Laker Writers

LINK

Probably one of the most ridiculous articles I have ever read. It's like they aren't even trying to hide their delusion anymore.

McNamara, you need to write a counter-comparison as a BSS column for tomorrow.

Farmar adds some athleticism to the position for the Lakers, but the Sixers have an advantage when it comes to pure speed and quickness.

Good catch, copy editors

Hey LA Times- If the Lakers finish ahead of the Pelicans this year, I will retire as a sports writer. What are you putting up?

@McNamara247 here's to the Lakers/Pels finishing 1 and 2 in the West amirite?

And the way that article is written almost implies that they think the Pelicans have a good shot at finishing last in the West.

He at least knows his audience very well.

Only Laker fans could believe Farmar, Young, Johnson, Henry, and Kaman are worthwhile additions.

More like Delusional Lakers Fans that needed their booboo kissed. When ESPN picked the Pelicans to finish above the Lakers a few weeks back, lets just say Lakers fans didn't take it very well.

This is my favorite part:

quote:

Jodie Meeks is returning; the team also invited Xavier Henry to camp. Blake and even Farmar could see minutes at the two as well.

The Lakers have depth and are younger than they were a year ago.

We know exactly what kind of depth Xavier Henry brings.

Considering how both teams played when they faced each other a season ago, they seemed to have some reasoning behind that. I think we'll improve while the Fakers get worse, but I have my concerns with this team in close ball games.

Should have never left KU after his freshman year.

He says "we" when referring to the Pelicans on PT, and then says "we" when referring to the Heat on MSB.

And apparently he gets the frick off due to it because it's pretty much all he does.

I think he likes both teams. He's here way too much for this to be some troll bit.

The fact that the Lakers big acquisitions include Xavier Henry and Wesley Johnson show how jacked up their future is.

Our big add ons were Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans.

re: Delusional Laker Writers
I don't get the fuss over this. The guy's article makes sense. The Lakers had massive injuries and system issues and were still 18 games better than NO. His article assumes good health for both teams, which is probably a stretch given LA's age. But if both are healthy, they are both around 40 win teams. That's NO making a 13-15 game jump and LA falling back about 5 games. That seems realistic.

re: Delusional Laker Writers
"We" should be reserved for your favorite team, no? Like, if a poster has a picture featuring a team in his or her avatar, proceeded to refer to that team as "we," and then referred to another team in the same manner, you'd probably question his fandom to at least one of those teams.

Just my opinion. He sucks regardless of his allegiance.

Its not a stretch because of age, its a stretch because Kobe has a torn achilles. He is already hurt and will miss the beginning of the season. If Kobe was healthy, then it would be a much better debate.
