Dell Demps "very publicly" has been second guessing Gentry this year

According to Woj, he's been second guessing Gentry within earshot of his own and opposing teams. Good stuff, Dell.

I mean I would question it too with how we started the season.
Issue is, this isn't an all-or-nothing league. All of it doesn't fall on Gentry, nor all of it falls on the players, nor does it all fall on Demps.
But I can blame Demps on this:
He created this roster, he traded piece after piece (including efficient YOUNG guys who were coming on their own) for older vets who were a bit more proven, he traded away picks like it was Halloween, he got tons of 1 dimensional guys with name recognition, and he fired the coach who was trending upward and had the trust of his players for a retread coach instead of going for an available coach who was proven (Thibs).

Gentry isn't the one who's the problem or should be second guessed. That title goes to Dell fricking Demps. His resigning of Asik and Ajinca to too much money, as well as giving Eric Gordon a max contract, is just some of many questionable moves he has made to crumble our team. No Dell Demps, you sir are the one that needs to hit the road. Quit making dumb fricking excuses and man up for once.

Seriously though, if anyone (like say Mickey Loomis) needs another piece of evidence that Demps needs to be fired it's the fact that he still believes in this roster and will likely double down on it again if he's allowed to.

They both are problems I like Gentry's system but his coaching sucks. From his adjustment to personnel, rotations, and game planning. It show why he's a assistant. He doesnt play to a players strengths he makes them change their game. Hopefully he does get fired so I can stop hearing about players that fits Gentrys system.

This seems like a classic WOJ hit piece.
Every single article about the Pelicans WOJ writes he manages to throw in how great of a coach Monty was. It's pretty obvious either Montys agent or Monty himself gives WOJ some scoop.

Dumars also was a big Woj source in the past, that doesn't mean this isn't true. This team looked comically bad at first, so I would not be shocked if this were true.

I don't see how Monty would really give a frick about coaching right now you a-hole.

I am not a Gentry fan. However, it is time for Demps to go.

I don't think he was saying Monty was the source of this, just that Monty has been a source for Woj in the past and the way things ended badly for him, Woj is probably #TeamMonty and wouldn't have much nice to say about Demps.

I don't think there are enough people to care about the pels for him to make stuff up. There have been reports the Dell has been traveling with the team a lot. Something he didn't do until Monty's last year when he wanted to get rid of him.

i think monty was/is generally well respected around the league as both a coach and person. lots of people said his firing was unnecessary. i'm not sure Woj praising monty means monty has been a good source for him (he may have been) but more just that Woj is putting forth what he and others think regarding monty.

When you're getting called a bad coach when all your players are injures.

Gentry hasnt been that horrible lately imho

Knew this hire was bad. Should have went with JVG

Fire Gentry and Demos give JVG dual power and let Dumars do the scouting. I doubt he would even want to come here now.

I'd rather an innovative up and comer
