I just noticed we have 3 Guards making over 10 mill and Anderson making ~8.5 mill

getting ahead of the small ball paradigm shift

@macintosh -- Realistically I'm with you, I don't see Denver giving up Chandler for anything we'd want to give away. The post said a 2016 2nd rounder... that's practically nothing

Gotta use some of that cap space on a 3 pt shooter that's all I know, but Demps you're one big genius

i say sign Copeland and/or Aminu and Dalembert then call it a day.

Holliday/Roberts/Jackson
Gordon/Evans/Rivers
Copeland(Aminu)/Evans/Miller
Davis/Anderson
Dalembert/Smith/Withey

Also if you sign Aminu you could a up-tempo run and gun lineup of

Holliday
Gordon
Evans
Aminu
Davis

I dunno about Dalembert. We're building a young group of budding stars with emphasis on a high ceiling. Dalembert is the exact opposite of that

I think between Copeland and Aminu, I like Aminu better.

What about JJ Hickson as a rotation guy? I know he's trash on defense, but he could come in for a few minutes and give some quality time on the boards, and he can score reasonably well. I wouldn't want him getting 30+ minutes a game, but as a change of pace guy?

True about Dalembert.

Another big will likely be brought in though. Really depends what we do for the 3 and how they want to use the remaining space and MLE.

I don't disagree but this isn't a football thread. We have a Saints board to blow Loomis.

This makes no sense. Loomis is working for the Pells same as the Saints. If he's doing good for the Pells, he deserves recognition.

to dell.

Is this WC talk backed by rumors or just wishful thinking?

That would be AMAZING.

You also know that 'Reke will probably get PG minutes too? One of the great things having a 6th man who can play 3 positions effectively. He might get as many, if not more, minutes that any starter...

I like the idea of getting Wilson Chandler

I think Wilson Chandler hypothetically is a great name to fill in at the 3- but like someone said, we're paying 3 guards over $10 mil already, so I don't think Chandler makes much sense. I think AFA is the perfect player, with the rest of the roster, to sign for the 3.

So Demps is still planning to get another 3 and 5? And he can spend up to $6.7 mil on one and $2.5 mil on the other?

So many possibilities.

Nice to see At The Hive come back to life. Some good thoughts over there and a nice combo with BSS

It's best for us all if twice as much good stuff to read about the same topics is out there. Makes the readers and writers better.

I'm trying to make sure that happens more.

I think first adding a quality 5 is more crucial simply to keep AD from getting pounded and allowing him to continue to play and improve. Davis improving is vital to the Pels becoming a title contender.

Make moves later for a 3.

The thing you have to remember is that Davis is on a rookie contract. Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson's contract end the same time Davis's contract ends. We can afford to spend money in the backcourt because eventually, we have a way to change the salary disparity between the front court and backcourt.
