Solomon Hill and Etwaun Moore are the issues with this team. $100 million wasted for 10 points PG combined.

that or signing 2 slow centers for a coach who barely uses them.

I had no idea their contracts were worth that much. Why did we sign these fools to mulit-year deals?

We have 3 dudes on the entire roster who would, for sure, get minutes on any team

ETwaun Moore isnt on the same level as Hill, Asik, and Ajinca for shite contracts. He isn't far behind though.

Got around $50 million. He averaged 7 PPG last year.

These were vagabonds. Not even a remote possibility of hitting it big with these 2.

I don't know why Moore gets so much hate. He's a solid bench player that can pinch start and is making the MLE. He's appropriately valued.

I agree Moore doesn't belong in any sentence for being a bad contract especially when you compare him to Hill and Asik

No, the new CBA is repegging the MLE to the cap and it's going to be about $8.5 million per.

Pelicans are suffering largely not because of Demps stupid initial mistakes, but his unwillingness to own up to them and just accept them. Instead, he tries to force a failed decision to work and digs the hole deeper.

The prime example of this was Asik's contract. He wasn't going to fit with this team's plans after we saw what he could do, so instead of just cutting the team's losses, Demps doubles down and signs him to a horrific contract given that he hired a coach that won't even use him.

Demps is not a good GM, he's not even mediocre. He's bad, and given his choice, the Pelicans wouldn't have Davis, would be a middling 8-9 seed team with no real sign of a future and tied down to bad contracts on aging veterans.

He was forced into the CP3 trade by the league, and given a great opportunity despite his initial attempts at mediocrity and then made it even worse.

The main thing that has hurt the Pels in recent years is injury. I just find it unlikely that the Pels are so unlucky to have the amount of injuries we have had and their long recovery times. It makes me wonder if there is not better methods and policies within other league training staffs.

Gordon took forever
Evans took forever
Q-Pon is taking forever
Davis has been constantly injured
Asik has been constantly injured
Holiday had injuries issues that were not identified and then took forever

He accumulated some nice talent and was constantly held back by injury.

The two moves I am dissapointed in are mainly Asik because he is not utilized according to what his contract dictates. The contract really isn't that big if he was just a decent role player in terms of today's cap. Hill if he can't be a decent 3pt shooter was a bad signing. If Hill can knock down shots the contract is not an issue.

One thing that Houston does differently according to Ryno (I think but it could have been Gordon that said it) is that they lift weights after games. I'm not sure about the medical science behind that, but they acted like it was a good thing to do and both Ryno and Gordon are staying pretty healthy this year.
