I didn't think the defense was as bad as the score indicated. It definitely was better than the past few games. Steph had 53 on 27 shots. That's basically 2 points a shot which is insane. A more normal star player on a more normal night would have had about 20 points less with the same opportunities.

We out rebounded them by 10 which is a good change. The puzzling/concerning thing is how bad AD looks.

His energy was much better tonight and he looked like the AD of old. 26/15 and 4 assists.

It was, but nothing seemed easy. Although a lot of that is on the Warriors.

I was commenting on the way home with a friend that that was the worst 26/15/4 game I've ever seen.

I'm sure this entire off-season was devoted to developing a defensive scheme built around K.Perkins, some dude named Ish and a dude that would probably get picked second to last in a street ball game (T.Douglas).

get real.

whatever helps you justify giving him that monster contract. Lose Aldridge, batum, and Matthews and replace them with the secrect weapon aminu.

I'm really interested to see how this team players when cole and Tyreke get back (anyone know theyre when theyre supposed to come back??). We've been getting slaughtered by guards so far. Idk if its bad defense or what but every shot they put up seems to go in regardless of where theyre shooting from.

I didn't see too much of a problem with the defensive effort last night, the results yes, but not the effort. Curry just went off, on one play 4 Pelicans collapsed on him and he still scored with ease. Another play he was triple teamed and did a no look behind the head pass. They just got beat by a superior opponent that was so good last year Curry didn't play in the 4th quarter much of the time. Portland making you look silly is what you worry about, not Golden State. If anyone had said before the season they'd destroy us the first 2 games we played them I don't think anyone would be surprised or think it was time to panic. The problem is this was 2 of the first 3 games rather than a random night in October and December.

What else is new? Over the last few years guards have always owned us. It's just so far this season it's been magnified even more. Defense is a joke so far. Hopefully Qpon, Cole, and Tyreke can help with that, but currently I have no hope for that.

Offseason practices and training camp doesn't really mean shite when you are forced to give the majority of the guard minutes to guys who we signed last week.

His contract will be pretty small next year and he plays hard on D. If his 3 ball is dropping he's far better than what his contract worth. I love the signing to be honest. He's free to do whatever he wants in a rebuild in Portland.

AD, EG and maybe Ryan Anderson (if he's shooting well) are the guys he's worse than. Jrue is overrated by you guys. He's just a bigger guard. Prepare to be let down. Again. If you guys didn't give up Nerlens Noel for him you'd say the same. He's a quality PG. Like every team in the NBA has an okay PG except the Knicks and 6ers.

playing golden state twice and portland once with a heavily banged up team isn't exactly a reason to freak the frick out, guys

we need to get healthy and play together healthy...that's all there is to it

Defense has been bad. But playing Curry, Thompson, Lillard, and McCollum with a defensive rotation of Ish, Robinson, Gordon, Douglas and a limited Holiday is as bad a matchup imaginable
