I do not know if Monty will do good this season or not, but he has had the sense to change his offense. After working with Coach K and team USA, he came to realize that he must give his players a lot more freedom on the offensive end. To this point I would say that the results are very positive, and this team could make the playoffs. You might want to try it Les.

Working with Coach K and team USA didn't seem to impact him before. Maybe it had to do with the fact that he realized he has the most gifted youbg basketball player in the world on his team and he figured he would loosen it up a little bit.

AD is not just the most gifted young player in the world, he is in contention to be the best player in the world

It's called "survival". Monty is certainly smart enough to know this is his last season here...if things stay the same with the same results.
Did Coach K influence him? If he did, it was in the area of seeing a real coach expressing displeasure when players go rouge.
I do have to mention that Monty is a whole lot more into the games this year. He's showing signs of life; that's a change that is really encouraging.

The halftime adjustments this year have been nothing short of amazing

Monty has done a slightly better job this year than in year's past for sure. I still think he played a very integral part in 2 of our losses though.
- Rotations vs. Cleveland (this actually caught national attention)
- End of game execution vs. Portland / Sacramento (even though we won it was the same garbage, different results)
The good news is that they are very fixable problems. The bad news is they are recurring problems over multiple seasons. Make the rotations dynamic depending on the situation. Run more set plays late and run the isos through AD -> Ryno -> rest.
There are players in the league capable of carrying 25 win teams to the 50 win mark on their own. AD happens to be one of them at the current production level. Monty has shown slight improvement, but the real difference so far this season is A) the acquisition of Asik and B) Anthony Davis developing an Oppenheimer complex.

Exactly!

I give him credit to change his goals on AD of 15/12/4 this season, because we have scorers. He realized AD is the best at that to and will turn him loose if the guards listen.
Look out folks, cause AD is about to open up a can of whoop arse on the league.
