Chances AD and Boogie combine for 100 points in 1 game this season?

I'll go 15%. I think they have the talent but if they each have about 40!then we are probably winning by 20+ and would get less minutes essentially stopping it from happening

I'd say very unlikely, considering 98 is the highest combined points by a duo in NBA history, and that was a 3OT game.

Could definitely see them combining for 80+ in a game

100+ would be like .0001%, and I don't think it's happened before. Two teammates getting 40+ in the same game is super rare. Westbrook/KD and Lebron/Irving are the only recent ones I can think of.

Wilt and his highest scoring teammate in his 100 point game?

They had 169 so someone got a few points after Wilt's 100

Al Attles had 17 so the record has to be 117

Did you use the wrong direction arrow or are you being vague?

I'd agree that it's pretty much impossible. The closest I could find to seeing if two teammates have ever combined for 100+ (excluding Wilt's 100pt game) is the highest combined points of teammates that have had each score at least 30. The highest combined total was 98 in a 3OT game: Denver Nuggets vs. Detroit Pistons, December 13, 1983 (3 OT) (Kiki Vandeweghe 51, Alex English 47)
LINK

In Kobe's 81 point game, Smush Parker was the 2nd highest scorer at 13 points.

So, yeah, it's not happening. If they play 3 seasons together, I see them peaking with something like 80/10/35. The pair staggering minutes helps the combined stats totals a bit since they aren't always going to be fighting for shots/boards.

ETA: Sorry, just saw the 3OT game stat was already posted. Watching the Saints game while going through the thread, so I'm only half paying attention.

I feel VERY optimistic today, therefore I'll say about 1.5% chance.

80-90 would be a HUGE number. Dual 40s or a 50+ and a 30+.

When a guy is hot enough to drop 50 (aka AD in Detroit with 59), you give him the ball and get out the way. They have to stay in rhythm. The amount of touches for Boogie to hit 40+ in that Detroit scenario is just not feasible.

Seems to be kind of a fluke occurrence, but possible with two high scorers on the same team. I'd buy into it a bit more if their games weren't so similar (if one played more on the wing). When Booker scored 70, the next two closest teammates scored 11 and their shooting numbers were horrible. So I could see it happening. Like 1 out of a 100, so 1%..

And for both of those duos, those players were their teams 2 primary ball handlers. I think it would be even harder for a big man tandem to go for 80+ combined simply because they don't have the ball in their hands as often as a point guard or wing player.
