I think Gentry wants to see what Cole can do. Cole and Jrue destroyed Golden State in the playoffs in the limited time they were together. I have no problem with him experimenting, this is stuff we'd have seen early in the season if everyone had been healthy.

Well said. Cole defended well last year with us and shot 38% from 3. Ish has been great in relief but if Cole can repeat last year's Pels performance, that would be big.
shite will get really crowded when QPon returns. Gee has defended pretty well at the 3 and Reke can adequately defend most SFs.
I really think that we insane depth in the backcourt, but little consistency outside of Reke. I think Jrue will get back to being a fringe all star over the next month. After that, it will be a juggling act between EG, QPon (who will play some "SF"), Cole, and Ish. I would love to deal two of those guards for an adequate SF.

Cole's defense is much better and he's not a great shooter but you at least have to guard him on the perimeter. Smith is shooting 41.6% from the field; he hasn't been playing as well as some people on this board act. Defense is bad and his offense/shooting isn't good enough to justify having him out there over Cole.

Between points and assists, Ish is accounting for around 25-30 points whole he is on the floor, and he has developed great chemistry with AD. All I've seen Cole account for is missed shots.

Since when did we need cole for offense? Defensive players on the perimeter are at a premium on this team.

Cole has been getting about 21 minutes per game.
I'd like to see Cole get about 15 mins/game with the other 6 going to Ish
