Ben and it is not close for me.

Hield is shooting lights out this season, but has never done it before. I am not sure he is super athletic and question whether he can get that shot off quick enough in the NBA to be a star.

Simmons passing and ball handling are ridiclous at his size. His shot is not awful and can be developed. I just think Simmons has a greater chance of being a star.

If you get the #1 pick you have to take Ben. We are in an age of dynamic wing players. I think the bigger question is if we end up with 3, do you take Buddy or one of the guys with more potential that is supposed to go higher. I haven't studied the draft too much, but it'd be pretty hard to pass on putting such a dynamic scorer next to Jrue in the backcourt.

It should be Buddy or Kris.

As in Kris Dunn. Because you don't take anyone but Ben Simmons if you get the chance. But as for after that, I want Kris Dunn.

Do you even Brandon Ingram, bro?

He is Simmons without the bulk, but with the offensive aggressiveness that so many LSU fans seem to want from Simmons

There is no scenario where Simmons and Ingram arent the first two picks in the draft

100% that.

It's Simmons and Ingram. After that it could be interesting.

Will Simmons ever develop a shot? What is the point of a wing player who can't shoot at a NBA level?

The college stats don't have the distance breakdown like the NBA ones do to compare jumper to jumper, but LeBron shot 41.7% from the field his rookie year and 29% from 3. Ben is shooting 56.2% from the field and 33% from 3, although he's only taken 3 3s and LeBron took 219 his rookie year. However, LeBron didn't become a good (36% or better) 3 point shooter until his 9th year in the league. Didn't seem to hinder him too much. He's even regressed into not good territory this year and last year and he's still able to carry the Cavs most of the time.

Do you think a player is as good as he will ever be at 18/19?

Players develop rapidly in the NBA if they have the right tools. Ben does.

Simmons also hit 4 of 9 in Australia. Again, small sample size, but his shot isn't broken. Good from the line. With proper NBA shooting coaches he'll be a good shooter.

How do you define "wing player"?

Simmons is 6'10' 240 with handle and a 41.5" vertical. I would not even try to put a label on him. How many wing players boast those measurables?

As for developing a shot, there is a laundry list of NBA who were very good in the league and didnt develop a shot until a few years in

And LeBron was stronger, faster, and more aggressive with commanding the ball when he and his team needs it.

The Oklahoma game this weekend was a clear example of how he is too passive.
