I hope Wesley continues to improve because what he is actually saying, as far as his insight on plays being run and such, is actually pretty good, it just often gets overshadowed by his stuttering.

On the whole, I preferred the old set up, but this is counting sideline reports and studio stuff, too. I do think that the new play by play guy is top notch (and I liked the old guy, Bob (?) just fine). I guess I will get used to the rest but I do think we got an upgrade on play by play. Wesley will get better and while I liked Gil, I think I had heard pretty much everything he had to say.

you got used to a mediocre broadcast. which is fine because CST was built out of scratch, and they did a great job of at least showing us the games.

Wasn't there a guy before Bob?

Steve Martin maybe?

What happened to him?

Prefer these new guys for sure. Wes has his moments, but it doesn't really bother me. Maybe some of us just have a bit more of a tolerance for it. To be honest I hardly notice, I'm generally pretty focused on the game itself to the point that Joel and Wes just become soft elevator music. And thats how I like it. Not like Bob and Gil where they seemed to be competing with the game for our attention. Gil making tired jokes and Bob laughing like some idiot. Also, if anyone still thinks its a toss up between the new and old crews, we have to look at the X-factor....sideline reporters.

Give wesley a break... if he is still studdering it up after about 20 games thats a different story. Who the hell would replace him?

I think the new broadcast team is fine. Wes will improve just give him time.

What do you think about the studio show? I preferred Howell to Renner. Anyway, no sweat either way. I am just glad to have a team and have the games. I do think the overall production value is higher now, so that's a plus and like I said, the current play by play guy is top notch in my book.
