Parsons is a much better shooter, but Aminu is a much better defender. Better rebounder, better at getting steals, much better shot blocker. Parsons is a better passer.

Even with parsons superior jumpshot, he's only averaging .7 ppg over aminu.

Interesting stat (albeit only 2.5 weeks into the season)

FG%
Parsons: 40.6%
Aminu: 50%

Shows Aminu's athleticism at getting to the basket and getting points in the paint. Parsons is obviously much more of a jump shooter.

I'm not saying Aminu is better than Parsons. I'm saying it's a wash.

Like, without a doubt "in your opinion", or without a doubt "factually"? Or do you mean last season?

Aminu has the 15th best PER in the NBA among SFs (4 guys who play less than 15mpg are ahead of him).

Parsons is... 43rd. He plays almost 40mpg and can't even put up any numbers worth a shite

So without Gordon 9th. With Gordon 8th. So Gordon is worth 1 or 2 games. Got it.

I meant to post 9th at best.

I wouldn't be shocked if we'd finish 9th. I wouldn't be shocked if we finished 11th or 12th under those circumstances. Crazy shite happens over an 82 game season.

Aminu can't even get on the all star ballot. Here's what Kobe says about parsons.
Bryant was asked by reporters if Parsons' defense was the reason he had an off night. Bryant shrugged it off, stating that the problem was him taking too many desperation shots at the end of the shot clock which ends up hurting his percentage. And then came the highly unusual praise.

"I love (Parsons), though. I do," Bryant said. "He can shoot from the outside, he can handle the ball, he rose to the challenge defensively. I think he has a really bright future and I don't say that a lot about a lot of people."

My opinion.

Aminu has been great this season. Still only 7 games. At this point I take Parsons and his versatility on offense over Aminu's defense/rebounding.

If Aminu keeps it up I am happy to be wrong and will come back and eat crow.

About FG% difference, if you look at TS and eFG they are basically identical. Like you said, jump shooter v slasher.
