Bright future upon us

I've been saying for months now (as I'm sure most of you know) how I thought we needed to draft Buddy Hield. It happened. God is good. This kid is going to be an absolute SUPERSTAR. He has all of the tools: Elite three point shot, step back game, pull up game, driving game, good defender who can potentially become an elite one, 90% free throw shooter, elite work ethic, and an amazing personality. Hield and AD will go down as one of the best duos of all time. Our foundation is here my boys. All we have to do know is add the necessary pieces around them. CANT WAIT until summer league. Hield gonna ball all over Ingram in the first game just like he balled ALL OVER Ben Simmons in Baton Rouge. Geaux Pels!!!

I am excited about him as well. First time since AD we are drafting a guy who's potential is honestly unknown as he could be a REALLY good player or just an average one. We kind of knew the potential and limit of guys like Jrue, Tyreke, and Asik and it was never "superstar". Unknown possibility of the draft makes things really interesting.

Is it just me, or is anybody almost as, or AS excited about Cheik Diallo? I thought buddy had a motivated personality but Diallo is really hungry to be great. He was a top 7 overall ranked high school player in the nation behind the likes of Ben Simmons, Ingram, jaylen brown, elleson, skal, and diamond stone.
He did not get the chance to play much at KU and still had really solid numbers. You could tell from his attitude and demeanor from these pre and post draft interviews that he's ready to live up to that "top Kansas recruit" reputation.

I mean unless Diallo is trying to win an Oscar, it seems like he is really trying to make a name for himself and is grateful a team actually traded to get him. I know all star mvp doesn't mean shite but he was McDonald's all American and Jordan Brand Classic MVP over every top pick I just mentioned.
This guy didn't just come out of nowhere. He's been a top prospect for a while now, and the Pelicans got him where most thought Thon Maker would go.

we could potentially land two pieces to build long-term with AD. This is why you should draft as well as trying to find prospects with high upside.
Not sure if we should give Ferry the credit that Dell may have listened to a sound mind or if Dell decided this on his own

I agree with everything but this. Ingram will not set back and watch it go down like that. Seen every minute of him at Duke. Buddy may have a better stat line but it won't be nothing serious.

No can do man. I've watched this young man evolve like a level 1 Pokemon. It is actually UNBELIEVABLE how much this kid is improving and trust me, he WILL NOT STOP improving. All 5 teams that picked before us will be looking like fools real soon. Buddy Hield will be the best player from this draft and a top ten player in the league. He WILL NOT have it any other way than that! Point, blank, and the PERIOD. Oh summer league needs to hurry up! So excited!

And the thing that has me most excited about this kid is that he is in love with the game of basketball. He is the ONLY rookie who was picked in the top that has come out and said "I am playing the Summer League." He is a gym rat who wants to have a basketball in his hand constantly. While Ben Simmons was out partying and doing photo shoots the morning of the draft, Buddy was in the gym GRINDING! This kid has it all man
