Boogie contract situation?

Is his contract up this year, and if so, are there any guarantees he re-signs? I'm guessing this gives Jrue more incentive to stay, but can we afford 3 max players?

It's important to note that he's never made the playoffs in 7 years and the Kings front office haven't been too honest with him. If we can slide in the 8th seed and be upfront with him, I would hope that goes a long way.
Edit: And he's close to home in Mobile, that could count for something as well.

Even if he doesn't sign an extension, this is a risk you absolutely have to take. We didn't have time to keep tanking and waiting for lotto picks to pan out with AD. This was literally the only move that has a chance of working out.
