Seems like he is stuck in a #s game in Portland. Seems like he could be a good fit for this team in the future.

For some reason he reminds me of a young Shane Battier. He would be a good role player for any team in the league, so yeah he would fit in for us.

He would be a much needed 3 point threat

Why would we need a 3 point threat? We already have one in Belli who is a 3pt specialist!!!!

i LOVE Nicolas Batum (no homo)

Good shooter, good on defense, long wingspan, etc.
He's like Ariza with a more consistent shot.

He's young, athletic and can shoot. He'd fit in nicely at the SF spot if Ariza was ever traded. I do wonder how much money he will be looking for this offseason(restricted free agent). His contract extension didn't go too smoothly with the Blazers.

Batum's defense is a drastic misconception. Potential is there but it does not translate into on court performance. Pretty good shooter from the perimeter. Can't create his own shot.

I wouldn't call him trade bait at the moment, but his agent said he will be looking every other team first before going back to working out a deal with Blazers this offseason.

Batum is a good player and a nice SF, but Portland fans overrate the shite out him.

I would like to have him, but I think he's asking for a lot of money.

Have you watched the Blazers this year? Batum is incredible on D. He can negotiate with teams all he wants, but unless someone wayyy overpays him I'm sure Portland will match.

I watch plenty

Thats just not true. He's not a liability on D but he's certainly not "incrdible," either.

And for the money he's going to command, a 23 year old perimeter shooter, I think that money would be be best served spent on someone else.

Don't know what you're watching then. He's not iguodala/Deng/Allen territory but he's right there in terms of a perimeter defender. Coming into the season I would've agreed he was overrated but he's much improved and the numbers reflect that.

i think he is much better than ariza...good defender that can also score consistently. and ya, he's a better shooter than our three point assassin, marco belinelli.
