Don't wanna completely bash the guy because I think he has good character and has done a solid job with this team, but last night was one of the worst coaching job's I have seen in years. Monty made zero adjustments to what Kerr was running at him. The small ball line up killed us and then I still can't figure out why Monty didn't play Asik any in the 4th. We got hammered on the glass, and ran nothing with substance on the offensive end. just my 2 cents. That was a flat out collapse and although Davis is easily a top 5 NBA player he has to learn how to play better down the stretch. Every star goes through that learning curve.

People say no adjustments. But I think he did make adjustments. The only thing that didn't adjust is the players. They were playing scared, timid.

Isn't part of Monty's job to motivate players?

You need to be motivated down 2-0 at home on the playoffs? Stop playing the sport

His plays calls out of timeouts are usually solid. Not so last night. Also, we played the 4th Qtr trying to run clock instead of continuing to play. When the Warriors started their comeback, he waited a long time to even attempt any adjustments.

Motivated is the wrong word. The coach of a young team should have some sort of calming presence though.

Exactly. As much as we bash the coaches all the time (Johnny Jones and Monty), honestly though, execution is lacking a lot of the time. And yes, the coaches are supposed to coach, but execution of the plans have to happen for winning to happen. That and making free throws.

Monty seems to have that type of personality, but it didn't translate.

Which adjustments were those?

Having the offense completely go away from Anderson the last 5 minutes?

Running only 10-15 seconds off the shot clock instead of truly bleeding the clock?

Keeping in a small line up that was getting destroyed on the boards with the best rebounder on the floor out guarding on the perimeter?

You can blame the players all you want, but Monty's strategy and "adjustments" cost the Pels the game.
