He ain't a soccer player, you wouldn't understand.

Was a solid blocker in chicago, focused more on boards in h-town and managed to average a double double, coming out every game. Guy couldn't play with howard and knew he deserved his own 5 spot. His double double came on better shooting than noah. Guy is just big and tough.

I felt bad for Asik this season. He is lucky he now gets to play for one of my favorite coaches in Brad Stevens. I wish the Pelicans had Stevens as a coach. Dude seems like the real deal.

Apparently this was a real trade a week ago, but it was shot down by the Rockets.

Not sure why it was reported today as if it is the latest update.

So apparently Asik isn't being traded to the Celtics...

We'll have to wait and see what happens tomorrow.

You will probably be able to get him in a few years. He will be in the same boat Monty is in now.

Not so fast

Houston has ended talks on an Omer Asik trade and plan to keep him for now, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

Houston has found too many teams leery of Asik's contract next season, and hasn't found a deal it wants.

Houston had created a self-imposed deadline of today, but remember: the trade deadline is still two months away.

It could be a last ditch bargaining tactic or it could be they didn't like any of the offers. Speaking of which, would anyone change their mind on the Holiday trade if Philly traded our pick to Houston?
