I think the Arena is going to be great and create a lot of excitement. I'm looking forward to it being more than the barebones place it is now.

I'll be seeing the practice facility next week.

It's under construction. They are moving the Pelicans from the Alario Center to the Saints campus on Airline. It should be completed around August but it sounds like the offices are already done. There will be 2 courts, weight room, training/rehab facilities and a shared cafeteria with the Saints.

Here's a good write up on it LINK /

I haven't gotten to that in the plans. I only looked at all of them, though.

Of course, if you could read, or had read eyes, you could have seen the drawings for the Perch and the lack of a pool.

If.

Inside done this offseason, outside bits done before the end of the next is the plan. The latter could change.

ETA: State kicking in $50m for the renovations. This outlay was a precondition for the sale, basically arrange by Stern.

Maybe once it all is in place it will be more impressive. Nothing about the renovation plans really excites me. Seems more cosmetic and "gimmicky" in a sense. I do not see the attraction of the party perch.

It is for the increasing number of people who go to sports events but don't like sports

But I think it should be a good addition.

Live music, open views to the game, and a festive environment. As soon as they introduced the bar, we immediately switched our tickets.

So are we not getting rid of the bathroom tile exterior?

Can we at least just paint it a different color? That blue/teal green just looks

That has never been in the plans to my knowledge.

The Entry Lobby will `re-front'the Arena, making it so that the main entry flow is parallel to Girod / Dixon, and that it appears `squared up' to the corner instead of clocked 20-some-odd degrees.

There is a little money available between 2015-2020, but I doubt that the outside gets attention if the Entry Lobby has the desired effect.

So did this woman design the outside renovations?

She has it with some of her other work and it says she was an intern at the firm doing the renovations around the time they would've come up with the plans.

If so...an intern? What did she have to do to actually get hired? Sistine Chapel need some work?
