Ryan Anderson making 3 pointers? No.

Ryan Anderson throwing up fadeaways off of one foot? Yeah probably

With the way he's shooting now he's a net negative. History says he's a net positive if he can get his shot back next year. I wouldn't pass up a good trade if one came along, but I also would be ok with seeing if his shot returns next year. He pretty much had no offseason to train and get in shape. Look at the difference coming into the season in shape has made for Gordon.

Still going say I rather a legit 3&D SF that ryno. Too redundant at a position we have quality players that lose time to him

I believe so. Ryan Anderson will continuously take shots 8 seconds into the clock, and is very streaky. He's too much of a burden when on D when he isn't making shots. I prefer Qpon taking threes, he also comminucates and lets everyone know their assignment on D.

That's the point. The Pels are better right now with Ryno than without, of course. He is a quality option in certain cases. But overall, salary cap life means trading him for the right SF would be a net gain this offseason.

Better with him playing with the second unit, yes. His lackluster non-3-shooting offensive abilities are good enough to make some offense with the bench, and he wouldn't be as overmatched on defense as he usually is.

And if he gets hot, leave him in and let the threes rain down over the heads of our enemies

The guy had all season to get in shape. What are you doing at practice? Do we not go through conditioning drills?

Why is Paul George, coming off a broken fricking leg, blowing Anderson away in production? Like wtf is going on here?

+6 and +5.5 Net the last two seasons for Davis/Anderson combo. Doesn't mean he's untouchable, but it's not the grease fire many here like to think.

And the in shape argument is a fair one. These guys don't really practice during the season. Anderson didn't do much of anything for months while recovering. He's been off, but his career record should earn him some leeway.

He's shooting 33.8% from 3 this year vs. a 38% career average and 41% in a small sample size last year. Unless the nerve injury took his shot, he will hopefully be a lot better next season. I brought up Gordon because he's a completely different player this year and the most obvious change is his fitness level. Rehabbing =/= conditioning in many cases.

When he was injured? Nope

Teams very rarely have actual practice once the season starts.

During the season, not typically.

Significantly different injuries

Absolutely, rehabbing usually focuses on strengthening specific muscles adjacent to the injury.

Agreed on all points.

Anderson is, by all accounts I've seen, a guy that puts in time to get better. I think he'll bounce back this off-season.

The big worry is the road splits. Do plane rides cause his back to act up even just a little? Or sleeping in different, albeit nice, hotel beds? Lots of talk of spreading out the schedule to limit crazy travel, so maybe it won't matter as much going forward?

Drink everytime he bricks a fade away. Finish your beer when Leonard walks by him with no resistance

That's what they're trying to blame Jrue's swelling on.
