What would you spend your money on to go?
All Star game itself or some of the other Fri and Sat night activities?
My kid wants to go, I know the game itself is one big scoring fest with no defense but you do get to see all the stars in one game.

Your kids may enjoy the Jam Session. We took my son to it in 2014 and he really enjoyed it. There are a lot of interactive games for the kids to play and some mascots and former players in attendance as well.

I've never seen this city in as bad of a gridlock as it was the evening of the All Star game itself. Never. $100 parking, and even unable to walk down some streets they were so filled with people.

I went to Saturday night in 2008 and had a good time. Dunk/3 point contest is always more fun to watch than the actual game IMO

I went to the Saturday night events also. They had a few musicians play between events. Pretty cool.

I'm trying to go Saturday. When are tix on Sale and can I lean on my rep for these, I'm cool with paying just wondering best bet to go through.

I already booked rooms in the quarter and plan to fly down the Friday of All Star Weekend. Will I be able to score any decent tickets for the Sat events and maybe the game on Sunday?

I went on the Saturday last time it was here. It was the worst Slam Dunk Contest in the history of the NBA. Total waste of $200 per ticket.

We had heard that season ticket holders get the chance to buy all-star weekend tickets first, so we got tickets that year just to get all-star tickets and it worked. Ask your rep about them. We had Hornets tickets for a few seasons before and gave them up but we got them again the 1st year they changed to the Pelicans, which happened to have the ASG in NOLA

With kids, only definite is Jam Session. Maybe, maybe the Friday night stuff but that won't hold everyone's attention.
For adults, Saturday night is a blast. For single men, save your money on any of the official stuff and try to get in to some of the night parties/shows. There will be so many beautiful women in town, it will blow your mind.

When do tickets go on sale for the Saturday night events and the game itself?
