NBA owners are scheduled to vote this week on putting ads on jerseys for the 2017-18 season, multiple sources told ESPN.

The measure is expected to pass, according to sources.

Don't these teams make enough money as it is? I guess it's just never enough.

Will this make the cost of attending games decrease any? Nope.

I hate this idea for the NBA. They will end up looking like NASCAR, which IMO fits NASCAR well and not the NBA

My question is, will each team have their own ad and keep that money? Will it be league wide? Revenue Sharing?

Will the Warriors get like Apple and make a ton of money while the Pels get BJ's Pawn Shop?

Does this have any effect on the CBA?

The way Adam Silver described it is that each company will promote their products with NBA players and branding. Thus increasing exposure and advertising for the league.

So for example... if the Warriors have Apple as their sponsor, then Apple will feature the NBA and/or the Warriors in their advertisements.

Now imagine 30 large brands doing the same thing. It will increase exposure for the league a ton. It's good for the league, the teams, and the companies.

I'm not positive, but I think I heard 50% of the money will go to the team, and 50% will be shared with the rest of the league.

So a business shouldn't maximize profits?

Attendance is at an all time high, why in the world would they reduce ticket prices?

and bad for no one.

No one will stop watching because of a patch, it's just lots of fake outrage since this was announced.
