I know it's a different era, but in David Robinson's MVP season he had Dennis Rodman as his PF. Hakeem had Otis Thorpe for his 2 MVPs. It'd be nice if Asik was more of a bruising 4/5 than a bruising 5 only, but in many way's it's the same idea which might be why they went for a 5 year deal. I just wonder if in 3 years we'd rather have a guy like Faried than Asik.
